Patagonia fjords, Chile, jul 14 - jul 18, 2012

From Puerto Natales we took a ferry (navimag.com) through the Patagonian fjords to Puerto Montt. Our 3 day journey took us through amazing landscapes with nothing but snow and ice covered mountains. We made a brief halt at one remote, tiny village and we also encountered gulls, cormorants, fur seals and one dolphin (or whale??), but no other signs of civilization or life. The ferry is mainly used for cargo and cattle transport, but has lately discovered tourism as an alternative business. It was an amazing, different experience!
