Salta, Argentina, jun 13 - jun 17, 2012

Salta is a cute, small city with good preserved colonial buildings. Everything interesting is within walking distance. The cathedral and the San Francisco church are of beautiful architecture and the MAAM museum with its Inca mummies is definitely a must-see. The highlights for me were the two trips to Humahuaca and Cachi through stunning mountains. On our last night in Salta we could watch Gauchos coming to the city and gather around the Güemes monument to sing, dance, eat and have a good time!
