Salt Lake City UT, USA, nov 10 - nov 12, 2012

When we left Boulder for Utah it was starting to snow. It became quite a snow storm in the last valley before we arrived in Salt Lake City. We were really happy to have 4 wheel drive. :) The city is known for being a home to a large Mormon population and for an impressive Mormon temple. Visitors of other faiths are not allowed to enter the holy site, but we could get some information and impressions at the visitors' center on the same premises. It was interesting to learn a bit about the religion, even though the (overly) friendly women in long skirts were a little bit odd. Salt Lake City must be one of the cleanest city in the States. Everything felt brand new and was kept in good shape, such as the indoor mall we happened upon which had a small creek running through it! On the way to Idaho we drove through a lovely landscape and stopped Utah's famous salt flat.
