Petrified Forest AZ, USA, dec 22, 2012
On the way to New Mexico we made a stop at the Petrified Forest national park. Petrified wood has been found in this area and are now protected. The trees that had fallen over 200 million years ago have been completely turned into stone. It's a fascinating site with a beautiful landscape surrounding it.
