Tusayan AZ, Grand Canyon, USA, dec 16 - dec 18, 2012

It's hard to understand and comprehend the massive dimensions of the canyon while standing at the desert view watchtower and looking down on the tiny Colorado river. The human brain struggles to find anything in memory to compare it to. We went for a guided hike a bit more of two miles down and then back again, which gave us a better feeling for the canyon's size. It was a lovely walk over the snow covered path. Nature at its best; we would love to come back one day, maybe in a warmer season though. ;)
