Evanston IL, USA, oct 29 - nov 02, 2012

After a longer drive we arrived in Evanston, a suburban city just outside Chicago. We spent two days in the "city of wind", a name it certainly deserves. ;) I loved the fact that we could easily get around with public transport, which is not the case in most American cities I've visited so far. The city has a lot of interesting architecture, including the famous "Bean" sculpture. It really is an interesting and playful art object! We managed to see the Buckingham fountain, which is featured in the "Married with Children" tv show. I loved the show when I was a teenager. :) One evening we enjoyed a concert at the Green Mill Jazz club which apparently used to be Al Capone's favorite spot in town.
