Bahmo, Myanmar, feb 03 – feb 05, 2011

We met a fellow Swiss traveler in Bahmo who had been there before and he told us it is the only place he knows in Southeast Asia which feels like nothing changed in the past 40 years or so. The town is small and very charming, with beautiful surrounding farmlands and very friendly people. I fell in love with all the old trucks driving around and the huge, beautiful trees along a street leading to the harbor. The local market had fascinating foods for sale that we had never seen before.
