Nyaung U (Bagan), Myanmar, feb 09 – feb 11, 2011

Temples, Temples, Temples. When we were landing on the small Bagan airport we found ourselves already in awe. There are over 4400 temples in Bagan which were built 700-1200 years ago. Not surprisingly there's a lot of tourists for Myanmar standards. On our only whole day here we explored nine different temples with our guide Aung on his horse cart. In the early evening we went up a taller temple structure to enjoy the magical view over the lovely landscape, dotted with temples and pagodas all in front of a colorful sunset!
