Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, dec 17 - dec 20, 2011

I visited a taoist temple, a hindu temple and a mosque which were all within walking distance. I think that pretty much describes Kuala Lumpur. It's a melting pot of different cultures - Malays, Indians and Chinese people all live in this fairly modern city. The world famous Petronas Towers are very impressive, especially when lit up at night. There's tons of shopping centers for those who are into "shop till you drop". I had a bit of a tough time with travelers' diarrhea, lack of motivation for planning my further trip, and I got totally ripped-off and threatened by a taxi driver who even had the nerve to steal my camera the day I arrived. Among those things and just feeling ready for a travel break in general, that's where I decided to fly to the States and spend the holidays with Jenny and her family.
