Luang Prabang, Laos, may 06 – may 11, 2011

Luang Prabang is a small, idylic city located in a beautiful landscape at the shore of the Mekong and Nam Kahn rivers. The city has UNESCO world heritage status and offers plenty of interesting temples and a royal palace which serves as a museum nowadays. What a great place it was for me to plan my further trip through Laos. The monks' alms procession in this magical setting is famous, but unfortunately today the tourists almost outnumber the participants.
