Yarkant, China, sep 19 - sep 20, 2011

On the second part of our tour we stopped at Yengisar and Yarkant on our way to the Taklimakan desert. Yengisar is famous for its knives, but that's about it. In Yarkant we visited the mausoleum of Ammanisahan and walked through the small but interesting old Uighur town. The highlight was a camel trek into the Taklimakan desert where we stayed over night. Camels are such fascinating animals!
